Facebook's latest campaign is a lifeline for small businesses, pledging money, providing resources, and generating the attention of consumers.

Small businesses are the lifeblood of big cities, but with heavy restrictions on how and when they can reopen, local retailers all across the country have been suffering. Facebook’s latest campaign aims to garner support for the 45% of businesses currently closed or at limited capacity who are unlikely to open for the next few months.

The campaign aims to encourage passers-by to check out Facebook’s “Support Small Business Hub” and utilize Instagram’s #SupportSmallBusiness sticker. In addition to showcasing the campaign’s featured businesses and announcing Facebook’s $1 billion pledge of direct support, tools, and resources, the site provides visitors with the tools to find, connect, shop, and support local restaurants and shops.
