To increase aviation security, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will be implementing Real I.D. to keep Americans safe while flying. On May 3, 2023 U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities.
To spread awareness and inform Americans of these upcoming changes, The DHS is running advertising campaigns at two of the busiest airports in the country, Chicago O’Hare International and Los Angeles International Airports. After reaching a new pandemic air travel record marking the 5th day this month with over 2 million daily passengers, airports across the country are busy with summer travelers.
By promoting REAL ID directly at the airport on JCDecaux’s eye-catching advertising units, the Department of Homeland Security effectively reaches their target audience and gives instructions on how to apply. Running on digital spectaculars at LAX and a massive exterior unit at ORD, the DHS attracts passengers at the busiest time since the beginning of the pandemic.
