H&M, Amazon, Charles Tyrwhitt, and Saks OFF 5th activated outdoor advertising campaigns to build awareness and anticipation of special Black Friday deals. Early and repeat exposure to these ads as well as their real-world placements beside physical shopping greatly increase chances of message retention and subsequent consumer action.
A 2023 consumer survey from The Harris Poll indicates that 87% of adults find ad messages relating to value or savings as the most relevant. The survey also indicates a high share of shoppers (38%) who plan to do most of their purchasing in November, well before key gift giving holidays.
