Many people continue to move about the streets, as according to 2018 Census data, essential workers comprise about 38% of all New York transit commuters on a typical day. The visibility and distribution of street furniture throughout NYC makes it the optimal medium to display this health messaging to those who continue to commute. Out of home is reaching those who must leave their homes for essential work and are most at risk of contracting COVID-19.
